Discover the joy of printmaking designed especially for young people. Collagraph printmaking is a hands-on art technique where participants create textured printing plates using everyday materials such as cardboard, fabric, leaves, and more. Students will learn about the basics of printmaking and how collagraphs work, explore textures and patterns while designing their unique printing plates. Express yourself through color on canvas! Discover what oil paint is, how it works, and how to use it to make art. Learn the steps to start a painting, how to mix colors with a limited palette, and different effects to make with oil colors. Instruction will be given in short lectures, demonstrations, and individual coaching. Students will be working from still lifes and will create more than one painting over the course of the week.
