The accordion is one of the most versatile folds used in both traditional and artistic bookbinding. Come learn this hardcover variation that playfully incorporates pop-ups. The pop-ups become a place for attaching pages, postcards, collages, photos or whatever you can imagine with sewing, glue, or tape. Collage materials will be available for you to incorporate and you are encouraged to bring your own. No experience is necessary and many of the basic bookbinding skills will be taught. Intermediate students may work on a more complex accordion book or an independent project. This class includes a $5 materials fee.
