Learn the basics of preparing and operating a loom. Participants will weave a sampler piece combining a wide range of useful weaves. Beginning students will complete one or two simple projects of their choice by the end of this term. Introduction to Black and White Analog Film Photography

Explore the art of black and white film photography. Learn how to operate a 35mm camera, develop film, and print black and white images in the darkroom. We will also learn to analyze our images with a focus on light, composition, and creating meaning. Class time will include demonstrations, critiques, and guided lab work. More advanced students are welcome to join and continue working on independent projects. The class also includes an optional Friday evening open darkroom practice session where students can work on and refine the techniques discussed in class. Develop your pottery skills as you focus on wheel-throwing techniques in stoneware and porcelain. Lessons will cover both functional and decorative pottery with emphasis on classical forms as we know them. Students will be shown how to apply glazes and/or oxide washes to achieve desired results, such as combining glaze colors and the application of wood ash to create unexpected effects on their work. Whether you're purchasing your first camera, exploring a new photographic technique, or refining an established practice, personalized one-on-one coaching provides instruction tailored to your goals and experience. Students may work with any photographic tool, including smartphones, digital cameras, or medium and large format film cameras. Sessions can focus on camera selection and operation, lighting, film developing, film scanning and digitization, or digital editing in Lightroom. Individual coaching is also available for a wide range of photographic interests, including portraits, wildlife, sports, travel, children, events, weddings, and personal creative projects. All Levels Metal Sculpture

Learn a variety of approaches to creating metal sculpture, including welding (oxyacetylene and MIG), brazing, cutting (torch and plasma cutter), hammering, and more. Ideal for intermediate and advanced students, this class supports the development of independent metal sculpture projects in a collaborative studio environment. Beginners are also welcome and will learn the fundamentals of shop safety, oxyacetylene and MIG welding, and how to use additional tools to finish and enhance their work. Students are encouraged to pursue self-directed projects while gaining inspiration from the techniques and ideas of fellow participants.
