Origin myths–stories about how people, animals, places, ideas, and even the world itself began– are a staple across cultures and times. In this workshop we will read several origin myths that were central to ancient Greek, Babylonian, and the Navajo cultures and map out their structures and their similarities and differences. We will then do a series of exercises to imagine and write our own origin myths.
This workshop is open to both beginners and more experienced writers alike.
