Monotype is the creation of a one-of-a-kind print. It is the most painterly and spontaneous of all the printmaking processes. We will experiment with a variety of materials and techniques to create a series of unique, multilayered prints with a rich variety of mark making, pattern, and texture. Both oil based inks as well as water based materials will be used, and participants will be assisted on the studio’s printmaking presses. All levels welcome- come expand and explore your visual horizons! The tuition for this class includes a materials fee of $10 for basic materials provided by CAW.
