Screen printing (also known as silkscreen or serigraphy) is a technique in which ink is pushed through a mesh screen onto paper underneath.
Stencils can be placed or drawn on the screen to block the ink from reaching certain areas of the paper, creating a specific design. As long as the image remains on the screen, multiple impressions can be made. Photographic images can also be used as stencils using light sensitive emulsions. Printing in multiple colors, and silkscreen monoprints will also be discussed.
