The Very Basics of Monotype Printmaking

In person

Maura Galante

Printmaking Workshop: All Levels, Beginner

Discover the most painterly and spontaneous of all printmaking techniques in this lively introduction to monotype.

Using oil-based inks, you’ll paint and draw directly onto plexiglass plates, then run them through a printmaking press to transfer your image onto paper. Through inspiring examples, demonstrations, and hands-on practice, participants will create one-of-a-kind prints while exploring the many creative possibilities of this versatile medium. Expect the unexpected!

All other materials provided.

The tuition for this class includes a materials fee of $10 for basic materials provided by CAW.

School Policies

Students who withdraw 48 hours prior to the first class are eligible for a refund or credit toward another class, less a $25 registration fee.
