Every skin color has subtle differences and colors variations. Skin is not simply “white”, “brown”, or “black”– they include many other colors such as green, yellow, blue, and purple.
Students will create a local skin color and then use their agency to “push” these colors in certain directions to make a portrait more exciting and colorful by utilizing complementary colors to achieve more realistic skin tones and hues. Students will then use what they learned to create a portrait or composition that includes the human form and skin.
Tuition for this class includes a fee of $20 for basic materials provided by CAW.
