Did you know that artists use math all the time? Math is used in drawing perspective, calculating strength in ceramics pieces, and determining how much of each color to mix to create a new color.
Students will explore basic math concepts of shape, form, proportion, symmetry and counting through various fun, age appropriate art projects and by creating and playing visual art games.
Projects will include mixing colors and painting, drawing using rulers, molding geometric forms out of clay, collaging with cut out shapes, making play dough, designing mandalas, building wooden labyrinths and others as time allows.
Tuition for this class includes a fee of $20 for materials provided by CAW.
