Go deep into learning how to mix accurate color with oil paints and paint still lifes with fresh, clean color application.
The class will engage in a variety of color mixing exercises, including how to create an entire painting through “color spot painting.” This technique, developed by Charles Hawthorne, uses larger areas of carefully mixed color to develop vibrant and accurate color relationships in a painting.
Teaching will be done through demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and individual coaching.
School Policies
Students who withdraw 48 hours prior to the first class are eligible for a refund or credit toward another class, less a $25 registration fee.
