Hone your realistic drawing skills and discover creative ways to transform your sketches into imaginative artworks.
Students will learn to draw what they see with detail and accuracy, while considering their emotions, being mindful of their feelings, and enfolding them into their work. This process will help students represent the ordinary in an interesting, creative way like Van Gogh’s “The Chair,” and “The Bedroom.”
Transform realistic drawings into imaginative compositions by altering their size, placing them in unnatural settings, and playing with color, texture, and media.
There will be a one-day field trip to the Yale Art Gallery where the instructor will discuss various images that can be used for inspiration upon return to CAW.
Tuition for this class includes a fee of $20 for materials provided by CAW.
