Instruction includes when to use full manual settings versus aperture or shutter priority and auto ISO. Sessions include guided shooting with a model, and practical skills in digital image processing with Adobe Lightroom Classic, as well as black-and-white film development.
Students will also receive an introduction to darkroom silver printing, with dedicated studio and darkroom sessions for film photographers.
Thursday practice sessions from 6–9 pm are available for individual work and additional support.
Tuition for this class includes a fee of $20 for basic materials provided by CAW.
School Policies
Students who withdraw 48 hours prior to the first class are eligible for a refund or credit toward another class, less a $25 registration fee.

Students should bring a digital camera and/or film camera allowing full manual settings. There are a small number of film cameras available to borrow. Feel free to contact the instructor if you are seeking advice on cameras for the class. We will supply a first roll of Black and White film and then we recommend HP5+ film or Tri-x in 24 exposure.
