From Collage to Painting: Reclaiming Your Creativity

Rediscover your creativity through a supportive, step-by-step process that begins with collage and grows into a finished painting.

Collage provides an approachable way to generate ideas, build confidence, and ease into the creative process before developing your work with the painting medium of your choice. Students will explore color, composition, texture, and personal expression while creating layered, mixed-media artwork. Individual guidance encourages each student to develop their own artistic voice in a fun, welcoming studio environment.

School Policies

Students who withdraw 48 hours prior to the first class are eligible for a refund or credit toward another class, less a $25 registration fee.

Term: Fall 2026

Suggested Ages: 18+

For the first class, please bring:
-Magazines with photos
-Scissors
-Glue 
-Pack of multi-colored construction paper to the first class. 

For future classes, please bring: 
-Water-based paint (red, yellow, blue, black, and white will suffice, but if you have more, that's fine). 
-Number 0, 4, or 6 brushes - a combination of flat and round would be desirable, if you have them available. 
-Paint pens are also acceptable. (if the paint pens are your choice, you won't need to bring the brushes.) 
-Plastic cups unless you'll be using the paint pens
