Work your way through the ever popular and powerful book, The Artist’s Way, by Julia Cameron and launch into the depths of your creativity. Unblock and empower your artist self to shine within a helpful community of “accountability buddies,” facilitated by Artist Teacher, Jamia Weir. Part self-study and part group work, this course will be about YOU leading yourself through the exercises and activities, then coming together each week for check-ins, organic discussions, and art projects inspired by the creative process Cameron outlines. Together, we will form a “sacred circle” of supportive “believing mirrors,” where we’ll witness and celebrate each other’s creative growth.
Jamia Weir recently moved back home to Connecticut after teaching art for 15 years at the elementary level in Los Angeles. In that time, she received her Master’s degree in Art Education, went on artist residencies, published written works, and was an active member of Textile Arts LA as well as the underground clown/performance art community of Los Angeles, all while maintaining her personal studio art practice and showing work in many art shows, just to name a few of her many ‘artist ways.’
