Thea Mercer
Thea Mercer began making art at a young age, oil painting with her grandfather, practicing watercolour and ink in private instruction, and continued formal studies in Canada with Gene Prokop and Izabella Orzelski. Since immigrating to the United States, the absence of a studio enticed Thea toward watercolour and ink, manipulating the size and characteristic of plants and flowers. Visit her site to view a collection of her work. Having studied and partnered with art academies as a teaching artist, Thea is excited to share the experience of exploring watercolour, beginning with that initial spontaneous brush stroke.
