Nancy Nearing has been working with polymer clay since 1992 and is a former co-president of the Columbus Polymer Clay Guild. She began working full time with polymer in 2015 and was selected as an emerging artist at the Columbus Arts Festival in 2016. She has exhibited at Columbus Winterfair, the Cleveland Flats Festival of the Arts, and the Arlington (Virginia) Festival of the Arts. Her work has been published in Lark’s 1000 Beads and Marie Segal’s Artists Guide to Polymer Clay and is for sale in galleries and museums across the country. She currently resides in Connecticut and her most current project is the creation and sale of “A Roof Over Her Head” pins, the proceeds from which go into a local rent fund for women of color.
