Cook a Book, Eat the Show — Join Us for CAW’s Edible Book Tea!
Creative Arts Workshop’s Sweetest Tradition Returns — April 27!
Creative Arts Workshop invites you to our deliciously creative Edible Book Tea on Sunday, April 27! Whether you’re a baker, a pun-lover, or simply a fan of sweet treats, this family-friendly celebration of food, books, and imagination is for you.
How it works:
1:00 PM: Participants arrive to set up their edible creations - a dish inspired by a book, a pun on a title, or a playful homage to a favorite story. (Don't forget to label your masterpiece and note if it contains nuts!)
2:00 PM: Doors open to visitors who can browse, admire, and marvel at the edible art.
3:00 PM: Get your forks ready...it's time to "Eat the Show!"
4:00 PM: Cleanup and fond farewells.
Thanks to our wonderful neighborhood coffee shop, Koffee?, we’ll be serving freshly brewed tea throughout the afternoon.
While you explore the edible creations, children accompanied by an adult can enjoy a free relief printmaking activityled by printmaker Jen Van Elswyk. Relief printmaking is akin to woodcut or stamping. Using styrofoam, kids will carve their own designs, ink them, and transfer the images onto bookmarks. All materials are provided, and children will delight in creating unique, colorful prints to take home.
CAW is grateful to Koffee? and to everyone who contributes to making this event a joyful, whimsical, and tasty tradition.
Bring your creativity, your sweet tooth, and your love of books — we can’t wait to see (and taste) what you dream up!
