Discover the interactive folded-box layers of the Zhen Xian Bao (Chinese thread book or thread pocket) focusing on its twist-box variations.
The TWIST box is one of the mysterious layers of the Zhen Xian Bao, a utilitarian folk art from central China used to store mending or haberdashery supplies. The traditional boxes are decorated with colorful designs – your twist boxes can be embellished, scaled into multiple sizes, or layered onto other box structures.
Learn at least four folded twist box possibilities with time to try out designing your own variations. Build on your current skills or add new techniques to your creative paper-folding practice.
The tuition below includes a materials fee of $3.40 for basic supplies from CAW.
School Policies
Students who withdraw 48 hours prior to the first class are eligible for a refund or credit toward another class, less a $25 registration fee.
