Create improvised and intuitive textile pieces using the “yes, and” mindset alongside techniques from improv quilting. We’ll draw inspiration from both contemporary improv quilters and the iconic quilters of Gee’s Bend, Alabama. You’ll learn various methods used in this freeform, expressive approach to quilting.
Improv quilting is a wonderful way to begin exploring the art of quilting—or sewing in general. All experience levels are welcome, though some basic comfort with sewing is preferred. Open to teens and adults.
