Using sturdy card stock with a reinforced spine, students will learn to personalize their books with button closures, decorative papers, and interior pockets—perfect for collecting loose items.
This structure opens flat, making it ideal for use as a sketchbook or journal. No specialized equipment is needed, so you’ll be able to continue making these books at home. Instruction will cover foundational bookbinding techniques including measuring, cutting, gluing, and sewing. Intermediate students are welcome to pursue independent projects.
No experience necessary. Enrollment in this class includes one 3 hour monitored open bench session a week.

School Policies
Students who withdraw 48 hours prior to the first class are eligible for a refund or credit toward another class, less a $25 registration fee.
