Take your watercolor skills to the next level! Designed for students with prior introductory watercolor experience, this course dives deeper into technique, style, and creative expression. Working from photographic references, you’ll dive into composition, mood, and the unique qualities of watercolor as a medium. Each session includes a guided demonstration by the instructor, followed by dedicated time for painting and individual feedback.
Note: Prior watercolor experience is required.

Tuition for this class includes a fee of $10 for basic materials provided by CAW.
School Policies
Students who withdraw 48 hours prior to the first class are eligible for a refund or credit toward another class, less a $25 registration fee.

Suggested Ages: 18+
These are supplies that students should bring to the first class: -“Hardboard “ up to 16x20 in for backing, but any hard waterproof surface will do -Paint: 5 ml tubes of Cotman paint colors or professional watercolor paints: Yellow ochre,cadmium orange, cadmium yellow, cobalt blue, cerulean, alizarin red, ultramarine blue, raw umber, burnt sienna. If you have additional colors, please bring them, you are free to use any colors you desire. -Pad of Paper: Canson Watercolor 9x12 cold press 140 lb paper, 30 pages. -Brush: round brush- synthetic #10 or #12 for watercolor painting. Two would be preferable. You can also bring any of the larger "mop" brushes. -Palette: white plastic palette with mixing areas, suitable for watercolor. Miscellaneous: -Palette knife -Sketchbook for notes -Masking tape -Pencil and kneaded eraser -Water jar- ~12 oz plastic or glass cup or jar -Spray bottle for water -Roll of paper towel
