Introduction to Painting

In person

Christian Curiel

Drawing + Painting Class: All Levels, Beginner

This course introduces traditional painting techniques, focusing on the key systems used to organize visual information, including perspective, proportion, geometry, color, value, and light. Through guided assignments, students will learn to create realistic, clearly articulated visual spaces, reconciling the illusion of three-dimensional volume with the two-dimensional picture plane.

Focusing on still life painting, students will refine their skills in proportion, perspective, and the depiction of light and volume, using color and tone to capture depth and texture.

Join us for this engaging journey into the fundamentals of painting and discover the power of visual storytelling.

CAW does not supply paint, brushes, or canvas. Please see the list below for what students need to bring.

Tuition includes $10 materials fee for basic supplies from CAW.
