Combine the spontaneity of monotype printmaking with the craft of bookbinding to make a unique artists’ book!
The first 2 sessions will be devoted to creating a group of same size prints that work together as a series or tell a story. They will explore one particular idea, theme or concept. In the last two sessions, students will learn to make an accordion book that can stand up and expand for display. Using as many of your prints as you like for the pages, we will hinge them together with sturdy, color coordinated paper. We’ll make hard covers wrapped in book cloth, decorative paper or your prints. The result will be a beautiful, one of a kind book!
Open to all levels.
The classes in the bindery will take place in a studio accessed by a flight of stairs. For any accommodations please send a confidential email to registrar@creativeartsworkshop.org
Tuition includes $20 for materials provided by CAW.
