This is the class for you if you want to make a “real book”!
Each student will focus on making one of two full size case bindings: either the traditional case binding which is a hardcover book with lots of pages sewn together and a rounded or flat spine with headbands; or the Bradel case binding, which has a flat back, a false groove and is suitable for slimmer volumes.
Instruction is adjusted to the binding skill of the individual. Intermediate students may continue work on individual projects.
Enrollment in this class includes one 3 hour monitored practice session a week.
Tuition for this class includes a fee of $7 for basic materials provided by CAW.
