Centering with Clay: Focusing on Foundations

Are you looking to improve your throwing skills? Seeking to center your clay and yourself? Do you need a hand with hand building? This class offers an opportunity to work towards your goals in clay and further your individual projects with differentiated instruction. Wear clothes that can get dirty and closed toe shoes. Pottery tool kits are available for sale in the studio for $27. Firing fees are $3.50/pound. Payable by credit card, cash, or check. Includes one 3-hour weekly practice session during monitored practice hours on a first-come, first-served basis. Family Printmaking: Intaglio & Monotype

Using monotype and intaglio techniques, participants will experiment with shapes, colors, patterns, and textures to produce one-of-a-kind prints. Learn how to build a small edition of unique works while collaborating with your partner. Whether you’re working together on a shared series or creating individual designs, this hands-on class celebrates creativity, teamwork, and discovery at every step. The Amazing World of Animation

Have you ever wanted to create animations like The Amazing World of Gumball(2011), Steven Universe (2013), or The Owl House (2020)? This is your chance to bring your ideas to life. In this hands-on class, students will learn the essential skills behind digital animation. Start with guided exercises that introduce the animation program and core concepts, then spend the second half developing your own original animated short. Whether you’re building on skills from previous experiences or exploring animation for the first time, you’ll be supported every step of the way as your ideas move from concept to screen. By the end of the session, you’ll have a solid foundation to keep animating with confidence. This class is welcoming to beginners while still engaging for those with some prior experience. iPads will be provided, or you’re welcome to bring your own. In this 8-week class, students will bring original characters to life, from first concept to finished design. Learn the principles of character design while creating characters for animation, games, comics, or illustration projects. Each week focuses on a different part of the process, combining design fundamentals with drawing techniques. Work digitally or on paper and develop multiple fully realized characters with turnarounds, expression sheets, and color variations. Water-based Printmaking

Explore print processes using safe water-soluble inks and novel plate supports. Develop personal imagery utilizing woodcut, linocut, monotype, monoprint, collagraph, Chine-collé, drypoint, and multiple inking and printing techniques. Experiment with innovative plate supports, archival rag and Japanese papers, non-traditional inking procedures, and other approaches to image making. Collage Without Fear: Let Creativity Grow – FREE Workshop

Join fiber artist and master teacher Ed Johnetta Miller for a joyful, hands-on collage experience—no experience required. In this guided 2-hour session, you’ll create an 8½ x 11 inch collage using fabric, decorative papers, beads, and buttons. Explore color, texture, and storytelling in a relaxed, supportive setting. There are no mistakes in this activity—only discoveries. You’ll leave with a finished, matted artwork and renewed creative confidence. All materials provided.
