Welcome to Creative Arts Workshop. CAW’s core belief is that everyone is inherently creative, and we are committed to making our programs financially accessible.
In fall 2021, we began piloting a new way to offer financial aid. If you want to take a class or workshop, we want you to be here. If you need financial assistance to enroll in the upcoming term, we have two ways to support you. Please choose the path that works best for you:
PATH 1 | “I can afford this class, but I need a monthly payment plan”
PATH 2 | “I need partial financial aid”
PATH 1 | Payment Plans
All of our classes come with a payment plan option. First, shop for classes with our online catalog. Then, click on “Register Now” to begin the checkout process. Once you’ve added the class to your cart, you can select a payment plan that works for you. It will show up on the payment page of the registration process. Please note we do not offer payment plans for workshops.
PATH 2 | Financial Aid Packages
If you need partial financial aid for a class, CAW now requires income verification as part of the application process. This helps us ensure that our limited financial aid funds are distributed as equitably as possible.
The application is short and straightforward. Along with your completed form, please include a copy of your most recent federal tax return (first two pages only.)
The financial aid application also serves as your registration form—there’s no need to submit anything further to register.
Aid may cover up to 60% of the tuition for any class. Remaining balances can be set up on a payment plan. Financial aid is limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note:
Financial aid is available for one class per person per term.
We do not offer financial aid for workshops.
Applications are typically processed within 7–10 days.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We’re committed to making our programs as accessible as possible.

Community arts organizations like Creative Arts Workshop were founded to house creative activity and community in opposition to established and exclusionary arts venues. We oppose the idea that only a lucky few—trained, professional artists—deserve access to training and experiences in the visual arts. We hope you join us in this mission.
This innovative approach to financial aid would not be possible without the support of our generous donors. Thank you for making the arts financially accessible to all.
