Financial Accessibility

re_0815_smmasonWelcome to Creative Arts Workshop. CAW’s core belief is that everyone is inherently creative, and we are committed to making our programs financially accessible.

In fall 2021, we began piloting a new way to offer financial aid. If you want to take a class or workshop, we want you to be here. If you need financial assistance to enroll in the upcoming term, we have two ways to support you. Please choose the path that works best for you:

PATH 1  | “I can afford this class, but I need a monthly payment plan”
PATH 2  | “I need partial financial aid”

PATH 1 | Payment Plans

All of our classes come with a payment plan option. First, shop for classes with our online catalog. Then, click on “Register Now” to begin the checkout process. Once you’ve added the class to your cart, you can select a payment plan that works for you. It will show up on the payment page of the registration process. Please note we do not offer payment plans for workshops.

PATH 2 | Financial Aid Packages

If you need partial  financial aid for a class, CAW is not requiring any documentation to determine eligibility. The short, simple application operates on a system of trust, and a belief that you are the best person to evaluate your current ability to contribute to covering the cost of a class.

The financial aid application is also your registration form so there is no need to do anything further.

Financial aid funding is limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. We will support up to 60% maximum of the tuition for any class. Any balances due may be put on a payment plan.

Please note, we offer financial aid for one class per person per term and we do not offer financial aid for workshops.

Financial aid applications are typically processed in 7-10 days.

Community arts organizations like Creative Arts Workshop were founded to house creative activity and community in opposition to established and exclusionary arts venues. We oppose the idea that only a lucky few—trained, professional artists—deserve access to training and experiences in the visual arts. We hope you join us in this mission.

This innovative approach to financial aid would not be possible without the support of our generous donors. Thank you for making the arts financially accessible to all.
