Explore the expressive potential of image transfer through a dynamic blend of analog and digital methods. Students will generate original visuals—by hand, digitally (including iPad-based work), or from found materials—and learn how to apply these images to paper or fabric surfaces.
Working with toner photocopies, color laser prints, acrylic mediums, and various printed sources, you’ll dive into a range of transfer techniques. Experimentation with grayscale, full color, and acrylic inks will support the creation of richly layered, visually compelling pieces.
Bring your favorite drawing tools and any imagery you’d like to work with—magazines, photocopies, newspapers, photographs, or other visual ephemera.
The tuition for this class includes a materials fee of $20 for basic materials provided by CAW.
