Please note that while the Workshop is closed for the month of August, we encourage you to register by mail or online to reserve your space. Creative Arts Workshop will reopen on September 4 and we will process registrations in the order that they are received.

Creative Arts Workshop is a non-profit community art center devoted to fostering creativity through participation in and appreciation of the visual arts. The Workshop is located in historic New Haven, Connecticut, in the city's Audubon Arts district. The facility holds a community art school with spacious, fully equipped studios and two exhibition spaces including the nationally recognized Hilles Gallery.

STILL LIFE OF THE LIVING MATTERS
An Installation by Mikhael Shevelkin

August 1-31, 2008

The installation features a monochromatic group of three-dimensional simplified and abstracted structures of varying sizes up to approximately 12 feet in height and constructed of wood and branches covered in plaster and textured fabric. Still Life of the Living Matters seeks to renew living substances through art. CLICK HERE for details.
