Creative Arts Workshop is pleased to present Strength Within Me’s exhibition celebrating Women’s History Month 2022, curated by Azaria Samuels. With photographer Noel Muse, the exhibition focuses on 5 trailblazing women in New Haven #BreakingTheBias.
The exhibition features photographs of: Dr. Sherene Mason MD, MBA – Division Head of Nephrology; Dr. Niani Kombo MD, Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Science – Yale University; Lucy Gellman, Editor – The Arts Paper; Dr. Daphne Evans MD , General Internal Medicine – Yale New Haven Health; Dr. Camellia Lawrence MD, FACS, Director of Breast Surgery The Hospital of Central Connecticut and MidState Medical Center.
For the last three years for Women’s History Month I have made it my mission to highlight and celebrate International Women’s Day by featuring some of Connecticut’s trailblazing women and committing to the themes . This year, the theme is “BreakTheBias. My goal is to share photos featuring 5 women. The purpose is to celebrate women of all walks and to acknowledge their importance in this community. A lot of times people associate these professionals and “male occupations” but in reality, women are in these seats and thriving!”
