Chip away like a aspiring Henry Moore, Auguste Rodin, or Michelangelo! Carve a piece of sculpture or bas relief out of a salt block.
Learn about the techniques and the tools needed for stone sculpture using a salt block to start. The first step is to sketch your idea on paper and then, with the guidance of the instructor, students will begin carving their salt block. Carving can be a therapeutic process with beautiful and creative results so relax and give it a try. And if you can’t draw, no worries, the instructor will help you through the rendering to ensure your start is a good one.
Need some further inspiration, join Karen at the Get Started: Put Your Sculpture Ideas to Paper workshop on July 11 from 6-7:30pm.
