Try your hand at an exciting printmaking technique using melted wax called encaustics. Create monoprints with pigmented wax applied directly to a metal plate by painting, pouring, and layering. Manipulate the wax with brushes and other tools to refine the image and then transfer it to paper. This technique is a great combination of painting and printmaking. Every print is unique and can be built upon or stand-alone. The possibilities are endless.
The tuition for this class includes a fee of $15 for basic materials provided by CAW.
4 sheets of paper are provided by the instructor at a rate of $15 per student, payable to the instructor on the day of the class. (separate fee from CAW’s material fee)
