In this online class, learn to paint a successful portrait from a photograph in the comfort of your own home or studio. In the first half of class, the instructor will use their own chosen photo and give a short demonstration of ideas, as well as show examples of other artist’s work to explain focus points. In the second half, each student will receive individual private attention to monitor their progress, and will have the opportunity to work on their paintings while the instructor meets with each student. In between weekly classes, students will work on their paintings in preparation for the following week’s personal critique.
