Plein Air Painting

Thomas Reilly

Drawing + Painting Class: All Levels

Learn to paint from life wherever you go.

Put aside your camera and learn to make a beautiful painting on the roadside or in a park. This class is for beginner and intermediate painters with a desire to leave the comfort of the studio and paint fast and free from outdoors. We will set ourselves up in the local landscape and paint from observation without the help of reference material, or controlled lighting.

To get started, the instructor will give a ‘wet on wet’ oil demonstration, then each painter will find a spot to work. The instructor will make the rounds providing demos and suggestions as needed.

As this class takes place outside, please dress for the New England weather. First location will be sent via email 24 hours prior to the first day of class.
