In this innovative workshop, students will explore using acrylic paint and found images to create layered and visually engaging compositions. Students will learn how to manipulate paint to create texture and a variety of visual effects. The course welcomes both beginner and intermediate students who will be encouraged to experiment creatively, embracing the process while building a solid foundation for future projects.
Tuition for this class includes a fee of $10 for basic materials provided by CAW.

Students who withdraw 48 hours prior to the first class are eligible for a refund or credit toward another class, less a $25 registration fee.

Basic Supplies: 1. Mixed media sketch pad (Canson XL Media or similar, 7x10 or larger) 2. Basic nylon brush set (variety pack, or 3-4 different sizes, such as flat, round or filbert) 3. White gel pen (Gelli pen or similar) 4. Plastic water container (recyclables work fine) 5. Black sharpie 6. Glue stick and scissors 7. Acrylic paint (red, yellow, blue or larger set) 8. Found Images: newspaper clipping, magazines, old book pages, photos Optional supplies: 1. POSCA paint pens 2. X-acto knife #2 3. Acrylic ink 4. Fine tip sharpies 5.
