Try your hand at this beautiful art form as we work week-by-week on achieving the ethereal qualities of watercolor painting.
Start with the basics including color mixing, paint and brush techniques, composition, followed by discussions of special techniques which highlight the qualities unique to this medium. We will learn about correct applications and the uniqueness to watercolor painting. Students will work from close observation of still life displays or photos. There will be teacher demonstrations at each class. Everyone is encouraged to develop their own artistic style while getting accustomed to the techniques of the medium.
This class is designed for beginners, but all levels are welcome. Experienced painters get a chance to practice their technique.
Tuition for this class includes a fee of $5 for newsprint provided by CAW.
