Learn to paint from life wherever you go.
Instead of taking a photo, spontaneously set up and make a beautiful painting on the roadside or in a park. This 4-hour workshop is for beginner and intermediate painters with a desire to leave the comfort of the studio and paint fast and free from the landscape. We will set ourselves up in the local landscape and paint from observation without the help of reference material, or controlled lighting.
To get started, the instructor will give a ‘wet on wet’ oil demonstration, then each painter will find a spot to work. The instructor will make the rounds providing demos and suggestions as needed.
After this session you will have a list of supplies and methods for plein air painting, your painting chops will grow, and you will never need an expensive studio again.
All supplies for this workshop will be provided by the instructor.
