Grab your paper and pencils and take this workshop for a new and exciting direction in your creative endeavors.
This workshop is designed to help you think and plan through a particular idea for a piece of sculpture using your mind and heart. Students and the instructor will work together to reveal inspirations and thoughts that may influence the design of the sculpture and then identify the right materials and tools for the piece.
Discussions will center around the wide range and variety of materials one can use to create stunning 2- and 3-D sculptures that are best suited to capture your personal thoughts and conceptions. Materials can be many things, such as stone, wood, found objects, plastics, cement, fabrics, fiberglass, cake and icing, metals, resins, junk, paper, jello, clay, wire, metal, (or anything manipulative).
Once you have your idea, or an idea about an idea, join us in the Salt Sculpture workshop on July 25 and August 1 to make your ideas come to life.
