Develop techniques to make abstract compositions rooted in direct observation. Learn to pay attention to what is seen—or remembered—by the mind’s eye.
In addition to fundamental exercises in gesture and contour, you will explore playful and unexpected approaches to the process of observation, description, mark-making and composition. Participants will strengthen both technical skills and visual ideas as you create a mixed media drawing that is personally meaningful and expressive, jumpstarting your creative confidence for future projects.
