Clay as Process and Product

In person

Kristin Eno

Young People Class:

PROCESS: Experiment with clay and observe the results of wetting and drying the clay, painting with liquid clay, adding and subtracting amounts of clay, as well as other methods the children discover both individually and collaboratively. Then, students are invited to work collaboratively to figure out the capacity of clay to build, stick together, and convey messages to viewers.

PRODUCT: Students work independently using a range of clay-building strategies to create a person or an animal that will be fired and glazed and  taken home.

The tuition for this class includes a fee of $15 for basic materials provided by CAW.
