Draw what you see. Focus on the basics of seeing and drawing from observation and the use of line, gesture, and contour to create form and space. Freehand perspective will also be explored. Beginning students will be guided by the instructor and returning students can work more independently and then all will come together for class discussions and supportive group critiques.
Subjects may include still life, studio interiors, plants and flowers, and self-portraits. Students will draw with ink, soft pencil, soft (vine or willow) charcoal, erasers, and other black and white media. Newsprint paper is provided.
Some classes will be off-site (including October 16th).
Tuition for this class includes a $5 fee for newsprint paper by CAW.
