It’s not always easy for teens to put their thoughts and feelings into words.
Enter the art journal—a place with no rules-making it a perfect way for teens to express their feelings. Journals can be neat and tidy or scrambled, have all the same art media throughout the journal, or a different media on each page, or even multiple media on the same page. They may center around excerpts from songs, poems, or books, life events, dreams, and/or hobbies. It’s a place for teens to express themselves as they want to capture the past, deal with the present and/or think about the future. Inspiration will also come from individual and group prompts. If your teen is uncomfortable starting with a blank page, no worries—sample journals will be available for even more inspiration.
The tuition for this class includes a fee of $15 for basic materials provided by CAW.
