Tetrahedron, octahedron, dodecahedron, cuboid - these are not the latest dinosaurs discovered, they are the siblings of the cube, cone, prism, cylinder and other members of the geometric form family. Fold these shapes out of paper to use as columns, blocks, arches and roofs to create castles and cities and then learn how to draw them in perspective. Using a ruler, triangle, and compass, draw unique patterns, optical illusions, and abstract compositions. Working with 3-D versions of these shapes will help one understand spatial relations, scale, symmetry, and 3D construction. This class is online; Eastern Standard Time.
