EXHIBITIONS
Creative Arts Workshop has two galleries
that serve the educational mission of the Workshop, the Susan
B. Hilles Gallery and the smaller Creative
Works. The exhibition schedule includes two student
shows, a national
juried exhibition, a bi-annual faculty show and at
least one community related show. Each fall the galleries are
transformed for the Celebration
of American Crafts, a six-week holiday exhibition
and sale of the finest in contemporary crafts. In addition, the
Gallery Committee reviews proposals for one or two additional
exhibitions each year, including an annual August
installation. All exhibitions are open to the public
and free of charge. Visit the CALENDAR page
for a complete listing of gallery exhibitions and events.
The
Susan B. Hilles Gallery
The Hilles Gallery is a contemporary art gallery with two floors of exhibition
space and a gracious two-story window facade. The gallery maintains an active
exhibition schedule of both regional and national exhibitions.
Creative
Works Gallery
The Creative Works is a finely designed exhibition space that
rotates smaller shows of works by CAW faculty, students and local
artists. As with the larger gallery, most artworks are for sale
and proceeds benefit the artist and help cover the operational
costs of the Workshop. There is always something new to see.
