We need you. Are you interested in volunteering at Creative Arts Workshop?
We have several openings for Ambassadors, open to persons age 16 and older. First and foremost, as the face of the organization that each visitor encounters, we need people who act as an ambassador, representing in a welcoming way. We also need you to be dependable, willing to learn new things, be good-humored and flexible, be willing to learn about and talk about CAW knowledgeably, and be willing and able to jump in and work as part of a team. The ability to speak Spanish or Mandarin is a plus. If you have other skills to offer, tell us about them.
Ambassadors play a vital part in our organization — you are the first person our visitors will meet. Due to the training involved, we require a minimum of a three-month/one-term commitment. You will welcome visitors, give tours when requested, answer telephones, answer general questions, and assist with registration and other administrative tasks.
Ambassadors work one shift per week for the duration of the term. Available shifts are Monday- Friday, 8:30 am-12:30 pm, 12:30 pm-4:30 pm, and 4:30 pm-7:45 pm; and Saturdays from 8:30 am-12:30 pm and 12:30 pm-4:30 pm. In return, you may take one course free during the term, or within the year immediately following the completion of your commitment.
Once your application has been received and reviewed, we will schedule a phone or in-person interview with you. If the match seems like a good one, candidates must submit two references, including their email, phone number and relationship to the reference.
