Creative Arts Workshop celebrates Chinese New Year and Year of the Dog with an Open House. See what’s going on inside the workshop—an exhibition of student artwork and live demonstrations in each department. It’s a great way to explore CAW!

Enjoy the Creative Arts Student Show – drawings, paintings, photographs, pottery, sculpture on two floors in our galleries.
Join us in the Bindery to take a tour of our equipment, look at lots of beautiful book and box samples, and make your own simple hand sewn or glued book to take home!
Drawing + Painting
Still life demonstration. Visitors may also draw and paint in the studio.
In the weaving studio, students will be at work on different stages of weaving projects. Faculty will be on hand to answer any questions.
Stop by the photography studio for demonstrations of digital and darkroom printing.
Watch students at work in the pottery studio. CAW Studio Potters will be on hand to for demonstrations and pottery tours.
Our printmakers will give a demonstration of silkscreen printing—take home a print! Also in the printmaking studio, check out demonstrations of CAW printmakers at work in etching, linocut, monotype, and paper lithography.
Cat Duffield and Ann P. Lehman will make sparks fly with welding demonstrations in the sculpture studio. (CAW has safety equipment for visitors.) Jewelers will be at work in the jewelry studio.
Enjoy fun projects for children with adults—watercolor, sculpture, and clay, plus Anime, Manga, and comics!
